Washington County Projected and Actual Dates
A projected release date is an estimate based on the sentence, time credit, and rules that apply. TDCJ defines it as the date a person is expected to be released if no other release date applies. An actual release date records the event after it occurs. A maximum sentence date, parole eligibility date, and scheduled release date answer other questions. Never substitute one label for another.
Washington County Jail may hold a pretrial detainee who has no computed sentence end. Bond, a court order, dismissal, a plea, or a detainer may control the next event. A sentenced county detainee may have jail credit and possible local good time. A state prisoner has TDCJ calculations. These systems cannot be merged into one formula.
Roster removal is not proof of community release. It may reflect transfer to TDCJ, another county, federal custody, or immigration custody.
Find Washington County Projected Release Dates
First identify the custodian. The WCSO roster concerns current county custody, while the TDCJ Online Inmate Search concerns state prison. TDCJ describes location, offenses, and projected release data. Its email route can also supply TDCJ number, incarceration history, offense, county, and court fields. The live search was inaccessible during research, so no unobserved result label should be assumed.
- Confirm whether the person is in county jail, TDCJ, or another system.
- For county custody, obtain the judgment, sentence, and jail-credit terms.
- Ask WCSO for the booking, custody, and release record.
- For TDCJ custody, search by name and identifier and retain each exact date label.
- Check IVSS for expected or actual release information when supplied.
- Confirm the final event with the releasing agency.
The Washington County release-record path explains the local event request. Use a SID, TDCJ number, booking number, birth date, or cause number to separate similar names.
Texas Prison Release-Date Calculations
Texas calculations depend on the offense, offense date, sentence, and statutory category. Government Code chapter 498 governs good-conduct time, but credit does not create an unconditional right to release. Parole eligibility is merely the date review may occur.
Government Code section 508.145 contains several formulas. Serious offenses under subsection (d) generally require actual calendar time, without good-conduct time, equal to one-half of the sentence or 30 years, whichever is less, subject to offense-specific terms. Other categories may combine actual time and good time. Texas has no general 85-percent rule.
Use the current BPP Parole in Texas chart, then the date TDCJ displays for the person. Consecutive sentences, enhancements, holds, and credit records can change the answer.
Why Washington County Release Dates Change
A projected date rests on facts that can change. TDCJ may update credit after review. A court can correct a judgment. A parole panel can approve, deny, or set later review. Even after approval, a required program or residence review may delay processing. A county hold may send the person to another custodian.
| Factor | Effect | Confirmation |
|---|---|---|
| Good-time award or loss | Changes applicable credit | TDCJ or WCSO time record |
| Detainer | May cause a transfer | Custody log and receiving agency |
| Court order | May change sentence, credit, or bond | Filed order |
| Parole vote | Approval, denial, or later review | BPP result |
| Required program | Can delay conditional approval | FI code and TDCJ instruction |
An FI code is not an exit time. RMS authorizes mandatory supervision, NR sets later review, and SA means serve-all under the applicable framework.
Confirm Washington County Actual Release
Texas uses IVSS-Counties for participating county data and TDCJ IVSS for state custody and parole. A notification may describe release from one custodian even when a second agency takes custody. Treat it as a prompt to verify, not as the official event record.
Search Texas IVSS by name, SID, or TDCJ number. Note expected release, actual release, current unit, parole office, and status only when supplied. For county custody, use IVSS-Counties, but heed its warning that people no longer in custody may not appear. A negative result proves nothing by itself.
For local proof, request the WCSO release date, time, type, destination, and held-for agency. Compare them with the court order. A county exit date and TDCJ intake date may differ without conflict.
A prior IVSS registration may remain active if the person returns to custody, while a released person may disappear from public search. Neither condition supplies a complete history. Save the notice and ask the named agency for its event record. For urgent confirmation, contact the responsible office because automated data can lag.
Washington County Jail Good Time
Texas county-jail good time follows a separate rule. Under Code of Criminal Procedure article 42.032, a sheriff may award up to one day for each day served for good conduct, industry, and obedience. The word “may” matters. Do not assume every sentenced Washington County detainee receives maximum credit.
The rule does not apply to a pretrial detainee as if a sentence existed. Jail credit in the judgment, local time records, and any sheriff-awarded credit must be reconciled. Ask for the computation instead of subtracting days yourself.
No official Washington County weekend-release rule, fixed release hour, or exit-door policy was located. Continuous jail operation does not promise immediate processing. Holds, court papers, transport, and identity checks can separate legal authority from physical exit.
Note: Ask WCSO about the named booking; general jail hours do not establish when one person will leave.
Washington County Release-Date Fields
Each date field should keep its source label. Combining them hides key distinctions.
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Parole eligibility | Review may become available |
| Projected release | TDCJ's current expected date |
| Maximum sentence | Sentence endpoint maintained by TDCJ |
| Scheduled release | A planned processing date |
| Actual release | The completed event reported by the custodian |
TDCJ IVSS has the clearest official released-person support, but it does not guarantee indefinite visibility after full discharge. If search fails, use TDCJ's incarceration-history email or public-information route and the conviction court.
Washington County Court Date Checks
The court record explains why a person may be released, but the jail record proves the physical event. Washington County misdemeanor matters generally route through the County Clerk and County Court at Law. Felony district-court files route through the District Clerk. A judgment can state the sentence, jail credit, probation, or dismissal. A bond order can authorize release while charges remain pending.
Use the cause number to obtain the filed order. Then ask WCSO to match that order with release processing. An order date may precede the actual exit time. A docket entry may also post after the jail event. Neither difference proves an error.
When the court record includes a capias or warrant after release, treat it as later case activity. It does not undo the historical release. If the file is absent online, a name mismatch, restricted record, interface limit, expunction, or lack of filing may explain the gap. Absence alone proves none of those possibilities.
Washington County court channels vary by case level. A misdemeanor docket and felony judgment may sit with different clerks. Use the court named on the charge or judgment, and ask for a certified copy when legal effect matters. The filed record is stronger than a search summary.
Washington County Transfer Date Gaps
A transfer creates at least two records: the county's release or movement event and the next agency's intake. Those dates need not match. Transport time, intake processing, and database updates can produce a gap. A WCSO “release” to TDCJ, USMS, ICE, or another county therefore does not mean release to the community.
Read held-for and destination fields closely. If TDCJ is named, search TDCJ after intake processing. If ICE takes custody, use the ICE locator and field-office route. Federal pretrial custody may require the federal court docket or USMS records rather than BOP, since a USMS detainee is not necessarily a BOP prisoner. Each locator covers only its own system.
When dates conflict, request the movement log from WCSO and the receiving record from the next custodian. Record the date each source was checked. A current portal result can change, while a filed court order and completed custody event offer more durable evidence.

Washington County Parole Timing
Texas parole review usually occurs through file preparation and sequential panel voting, not a public individual hearing. TDCJ identifies an eligible case and an institutional parole officer prepares material for a three-member panel. Two matching votes complete the decision. A split between the first two sends the case to the third member. Board meeting notices do not provide a Washington County calendar of individual review dates.
A favorable decision can still carry instructions. FI codes may require a program, suitable residence, or another step before processing. A denial may state later review. Mandatory supervision has its own framework. Read the exact BPP code and TDCJ status instead of converting “approved” into a firm date.
Release preparation can uncover a warrant or detainer. When another authority takes custody, the scheduled state release becomes a transfer. Ask TDCJ which agency receives the person and check that agency after intake. A TDCJ actual release date proves departure from state prison, not freedom from all custody.
Request Washington County Date Calculations
A focused county request can resolve details a roster cannot show. Identify the booking, date range, and cause number. Ask for the custody log, sentence computation, jail credit, good-time award if any, release authorization, actual release date and time, release type, destination, and held-for agency. Availability and redaction depend on the record and Texas law.
For a state sentence, TDCJ's inmate-information email route can provide the TDCJ number, location, offense and county, projected release date, and incarceration history fields described by the agency. If ordinary search is unavailable or the person has fully discharged, incarceration-history or public-information routes are stronger than an old screenshot.
Keep a date ledger. Record the order date, jail-credit start, projected release, parole eligibility, scheduled release, actual county exit, receiving-agency intake, and final discharge only when each field exists. Blank fields stay blank. This keeps an estimate from becoming an official date.
